Corinth, MS

The temperature dipped into the 30s last night and the rain continued. The weather report was for heavy rain all day. I checked for things to do in Corinth. The area offers some rich civil war history and outdoor activities. Instead, I chose the local library instead. I wanted a day to catchup and relax. The librarian had told me yesterday that the library would probably be closed due to ice. To my surprise, they were open all day.

I spent the day staying warm, working on some photographs and reading. The library had a large selection of older magazines they were giving away and I scooped up six for later reading.

I was there until closing at 8:00pm. By then, many of the restaurants were closed due to the pending ice, but I found Mi Toro in Corinth which remained open until 9:00 pm. I order a meal and ate way too much.

I decided to stay in the Cracker Barrel parking lot again in the car. The temperatures were going to dip below freezing and it would be much warmer in the car in my sub-zero sleeping back. This Cracker Barrel had a large lot in the back and an external wii-fi antenna with a strong signal. I was able to watch some YouTube videos for a couple of hours before drifting off.
